Description

The U.S. Department of State (DoS), Office of Acquisition Management, intends to award a contract to Convera, 1921 Gallows Road, Suite 200, Vienna, VA 22182, in accordance with FAR Part 12 -- Acquisition of Commercial Items, to renew the current License and Maintenance Agreement for retrievalware for one base year and three option years. As the holder of the maintenance agreement, only Convera can initiate/modify the upgrade and coverage for new units. Maintenance of the system by a third party will impose unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements as well as give cause to termination of the existing maintenance agreement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The U.S. Government intends to solicit only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302.
