Description

Forest Service is soliciting helicopter services for aerial ignition and fire suppression. Contractor will be required to provide type III helicopter, pilots, and fuel trucks to conduct aerial ignition using Premo Mark III (ping pong ball dispenser) machines,provide observation/recon platforms and supply water drops for the control of wildfires and in support of prescribed fires. The work will be performed on the Mississsippi and Alabama National Forest. Work is anticipated to begin on or about January 21, 2002. This solicitation will be released to the public on December 27, 2001.
