Description

The base bid for this projects requires the contractor to demo existing runway threshold lights in five locations on the MCAS Cherry Point airfield and install new elevated and semi-flush threshold lights in these locations in accordance with the project's plans and specifications. The base bid also includes the installation of forty-eight airfield taxiway signs at various airfield locations and installation of obstruction lights on a water tower and an antenna tower. The additive bid item involves replacement of four existing constant current lighting regulators located in Building 1788 with four new "dry-type" constant current lighting regulators along with associated modifications to Building 1788's electrication distribution system. This additive bid item also includes re-lamping some approach light fixtures on Runway 32L and transferring some lighting fixtures from one circuit to another. There is a $25 non-refundable charge for plans and specs.
