Description

The U.S. Army CECOM Acquisition Center proposes to acquire a 46 month Research and Development effort for Networked Sensors for the Objective Force (NSOF) Advanced Technology Demonstration (ATD) necessary to support deployments of Unattended Ground Sensors (UGS) networks. The purpose of this project is to develop, provide, and demonstrate communications networks that can successfully interconnect with UGS networks within a sensor field and also connect the UGS network field back to higher-level data fusion and Command and Control (C2) elements. The Period of Performance shall be in two phases. Phase I shall be approximately 16 months, and Phase II shall be approximately 30 months. Commencement of Phase II is contingent upon successful completion of Phase I, at the direction of the Contracting Officer. This effort includes delivery of 26 radio prototype units during Phase I and an additional 40 units during Phase II. This effort is solicited on an unrestricted basis. This acquisition will be conducted u nder Best Value Source Selection procedures. The proposed contract type is Cost Plus Fixed Fee (completion).
