Description

The U.S. Army Signal Command has a requirement for nonpersonal services for local telephone exchange services for Sierra Army Depot, Herlong, California. The proposed contract is for a base year with four one-year options. The local exchange services provider, certified by the state of California, shall provide local commercial communications service for Sierra Army Depot which shall include, as a minimum but not limited to, local access for commercial subscriber lines, local exchange digital trunks, point-to-point circuits, and directory number and number portability. All responsible sources may submit an offer that shall be considered. Sources responding to this requirement must indicate in writing, whether they are a large, small, disadvantaged and /or women-owned business. For this acquisition, a concern will be considered small under SIC code 4813 with size standard of 1500 employees NAICS 51331 and 51333. This requirement shall be a commercial, fixed price type contract. Solicitation is anticipated to be released on or about 19 Dec 01. The Government will conduct a preproposal conference and site visit on 15 Jan 02 in Building 51, 2D and E Street, Sierra Army Depot. All conference attendees must submit, on company letterhead, the following information in order to gain access to Sierra Army Depot: name, date and place of birth, SSN, citizenship, duration of visit, and point of contact during visit (Tamas Judson, telephone number (530) 827-4848). Submit information via facsimile to (530) 827-5826. The conference will be from 9:00-10:30 (approximately) and will be followed by a site visit from 10:30 12:00 noon. Offerors planning to attend are required to notify the specialist listed below, in writing, of all attendees' names (not to exceed three per company) prior 07 Jan 02. An e-mail response to the specialist listed below is acceptable. Questions generated as a result of the preproposal conference must be received before 22 Jan 02. Written responses to offeror-generated questions will be provided to all Offerors.
