Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Simplified Acquisition Procedures will be used. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, intends to procure on a sole source basis from Concurrent Computer Corporation the following items, which will be used to produce Aegis Weapons Systems applications for delivery to Aegis ships: PowerMAXION 128MB 1CPU/1MB Cache (Part No. NN6418-H)-Qty 3, Dual Ported Memory Controller (Part No. MN6408-A)-Qty 1, 256MB DRAM Memory Module (Part No. MN6400-J)-Qty 1, Front Plane Connector 5-Slot (Part No. SN6405)-Qty 1, 21-Slot Chassis -- 5 Row (Part No. SO2105-A)-Qty 1, 4mm DAT Tape (Part No. TC6164A-AE)-Qty 1, 16-Bit 18GB Fixed Disk Drive (Part No. RA5918C-AE)-Qty 2, PowerMAX OS 32 User 3-4 CPU's (Part No. WA9030-JG032/B)-Qty 1, PowerMAX OS Encryption Utilities -- Domestic (Part No. WA9005-JG)-Qty 1, Network File System (Part No. WC4200-JG)-Qty 1, TCP/IP Frame Level Software (Part No. WC4002-JG)-Qty 1, X Window System Client License (Part No. WG2660-JG)-Qty 1, X Window System Server License (Part No. WG2661-JG)-Qty 1, FDDI Dual Attach Interface -- VME (Part No. CE0961-D/N)-Qty 1, FDDI Driver (Part No. WC4030-JG)-Qty 1, RAMiX 665 PMC Fast Ethernet Driver for PowerMaxion (Part No. RIQ7582-1)-Qty 1, VMETRO Midas 20 Carrier Board Driver for PowerMaxion Fast Ethernet (Part No. WC4620-JG)-Qty 1, RAMiX 665 Fast Ethernet PMC Board for PowerMaxion (Part No. RIQ7582-1)-Qty 1, VMETRO Midas 20 PowerMaxion Carrier Board for Fast Ethernet (Part No. RIQ7582-2), Hardware Maintenance (Part No. HW-MM)-9 months, Software Maintenance (Part No. SW-MM)-9 months. The following items will be included as options under the contract: 16-Bit Peripheral Expansion Chassis (Part No. SN7820)-Qty 1, 3-1/2 inch Disk Frame and Carrier (Part No. SN7801)-Qty 8, 36GB Removable Disk Drive (Part No. RB5936A-AE)-Qty 8, System Integration Services for preceding optional items (Part No. 730-INT-MOT), and Hardware Maintenance (Part No. HW-MM)-12 months. The option items may be exercised any time from the time of award until two (2) months after award. This acquisition will occur via a Firm Fixed-Price contract. All items shall be delivered and accepted FOB-Destination to the Receiving Officer, Bldg. 125, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren, Virginia 22485, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on weekdays. No deliveries will be accepted on Federal holidays. Delivery is required no later than eight weeks after contract award. This solicitation number is N00178-01-R-2018; it is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated clauses and provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-01 (22 October 2001). The NAICS Code associated with this procurement is 334111; the small business size standard is 1000 employees. All offerors must include a completed copy of FAR 52.212-3 "Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items," with their quotes. Additionally, FAR 52.212-1 "Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items," FAR 52.212-4 "Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items," FAR 52.217-7 "Option for Increased Quantity-Separately Priced Line Item," and FAR 52.212-5 "Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items," subparagraphs (a), (b)(1), (b)(5), (b)(11-15), (b)(22), (d), and (e) apply to this solicitation and are hereby incorporated by reference. Finally, DFARS 252.212-7001, "Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items," subparagraphs (a)(252.225-7007), (a)(252.225-7012), (a)(252.243-7002), and (b), and DFARS 252.204-7004, "Required Central Contractor Registration," also apply to this acquisition. The Defense Priority and Allocation System (DPAS) rating is DO-A70. The closing date for receipt of quotes is 4:00 p.m. (Eastern time), 20 December 2001.
