Description

NASA/LaRC plans to issue a Request for Offer (RFO) for improvements and maintenance to the Advanced System Safety Assessment Program (ASSAP)/Galileo software analysis tool and for a feasibility study of coordinating the analysis capabilities of ASSAP/Galileo with other non-dynamic fault tree approach type software. NASA/LaRC intends to purchase the items from the University of Virginia (UVA) pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). UVA has proprietary and exclusive rights to the software code needed for this requirement. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. See Note 22. An Ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B".
