Description

The NAVAL OCEANOGRAPHIC OFFICE intends to solicit and award, on an other than full and open competitive (sole source) basis, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures, a purchase order to Sonatech, Inc. The purchase order is for 8 each, alkali ne battery packs for S-1056-A transponders. These battery packs are made by Sonatech for their S-1056 transponders. Other sources manufacture battery packs, but their capability to fabricate to exact specifications is unknown. Sonatech is the on ly available company that has the technical expertise and knowledge of the requirements to ensure that the battery pack meet s the tolerances for the S-1056 transponder.
