Description

NASA/KSC plans to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for a five (5) year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) for a minimum of 65 each AC/DC power supply for the first year. A first article of one each will be required and must pass the specification qualifications of the Government before the minimum of 65 each power supplies will be purchased for the first year. The quantity for the remainder four years is estimated at a minimum of 5 each and a maximum of 230 each. All potential offers must provide a matrix that states either compliance or noncompliance to all requirements identified in Section 3.0 Delivery Schedule, Section 4.0 Requirements, Section 8.0 Reliability, Section 9.0 Documentation, Section 10.0 Identification and Marking, and Section 11.0 Warranty. Provide measured parameters (power supply laboratory tests) for Section 5.0 Performance Specifications. To ensure the probability of compliance to Section 7.0 Environmental, offerors must explain in detail and identify the type and all part numbers for interface terminal blocks or connectors, identify and explain in detail the method to secure large components onto the printed circuit board, and identify and explain in detail EMI filtering. The power supply will be mounted to the vibration table, for each required axis, utilizing the specified mounting holes. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The anticipated release date of RFQ PR 0278-4205 is on or about December 14, 2001with an anticipated quote due date of on or about January 4, 2002 by 2 pm Eastern Standard Time (EST) to NASA Kennedy Space Center, Mail Code OP-MS, Attn: Sean Howe, Contracting Officer, Kennedy Space Center, FL 32899 or FAX to Sean Howe, Contracting Officer, (321) 867-2825. All qualified responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer.
