Description

The West Texas Health Care System intends to negotiate a firm-fixed contract for Mammography Services under the Medicare Fee Schedule with Malone & Hogan Imaging Center at 1501 West 11th Place, Bis Spring, Texas. The VA Medical Center is located in a rural area of West Texas;therefore, the contractor should be located within the city limits of Big Spring, Texas. Methodist Malone & Hogan Imaging Center is within one quarter of a m ile from the VA Medical Center, is JCAHO accredited, practices in accordance with the guidelines of the published Breast Screening Policies of the American Cancer Society (ACS) and is a Certified Mammography facility. Certificate is from the Mammography Accreditation Program -- American College of Radiology (ACR). The Government believes that Methodist Malone & Hogan Imaging Center is the only provider that will satisfy the requirement. This is a sole source procurement under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (FAR 13), Commercial Items (FAR 12), 38 U.S.C. 8153 and Other than Full and Open Competition (FAR 6.302-1). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contract Specialist within 5 days after date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to the address above, or faxed to (915) 264-4887. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. The NAICS code for this procurement is 621111 with a small business standard size of $10M. Contract period is a Base Year beginning from date of award and has two-one year renewal options. Phone request will not be accepted. Request must be in writing and faxed to this office. RFQ will be available on/a December 31, 2001.
