Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound, is soliciting a Direct Vendor Delivery Contract for various sizes of level one welding rods and electrodes. This will be a direct vendor delivery for these items at in the Puget Sound area with the majority being delivered to the Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton WA. Deliveries will be FOB Destination. The resultant contract will be a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity type contract. The period of performance will be date of award continuing one year thereafter with 3 option years. Award will be based on technically acceptable, price and delivery. This procurement is in accordance with the format in part 12. The RFP will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link "www.neco.navy.mil". All offerors wishing to submit an offer, are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website (WinZIP is required) and to frequently monitor that site for any amendments to the RFQ. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to david_p_stokes@puget.fisc.navy.mil" will be accepted in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFP from the NECO website. No bidders list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of the RFQ and/or amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to electronically posted solicitations or quotes and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals or quotes may render your proposal or quote nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. This solicitation N00406-02-R-5049 is issued as a request for proposal. Given that this category falls with in the annual forecast as published in the Commerce Business Daily and in accordance with Far 5.203(h) the time frame for publication of the synopsis and receipt of offers has been reduced. Responsible sources may submit an offer/proposal which will be considered by FISC Puget Sound. Telephone requests will not be honored. =20
