Description

The Great Lakes Acquisition Center intends to negotiate a sole source, Firm Fixed Price contract with Motion Analysis Corp of Santa Rosa CA. This procurement is to upgrade the existing Eagle Camera and A/D acquisition equipment located at the VAMC Research Lab, Chicago IL. NAICS 541511. This procurement is pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 and will be made using simplified acquisition procedures under the authority of the Test Program for Commercial Items (FAR 13.5). Contractor shall be responsible to upgrade the existing hardware and tracking software; Digital Cameras with 1.3 Mega Pixels, Software Selectable Frame Rates from 0-500 Hz, Zoom Lens, Ethernet cable connection and Real-Time interface with screw terminals for A/D set up. To the best of our knowledge, Motion Analysis Corporation is the only company that manufactures the digital cameras and the A/D acquisition system that is compatible with the proprietary hardware and software currently used at the facility. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes however; any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within seven days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer, VAMC-GLAC, Building 5, 5000 W. National Ave. Bldg. 5, Milwaukee WI 53295 or via fax to (414) 902-5440. Responses received will be evaluated however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Motion Analysis.
