1. Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Purchase Orders under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) to Dr. Walter Arabasz, 2460 East Emerson Avenue, Salt Lake City, UT 84108; Dr. Ralph Peck, 1101 Warm Sands Drive, SE, Albuquerque, NM 87123; and Dr. James K. Mitchell, 209 Mateer Circle, Blacksburg, VA 24060, for follow-up,independent technical review services for the Deer Creek Dam, beginning January 16, 2002, through March 1, 2002, with the possibility of future reviews of the continuing geotechnical studies through 2004. The independent technical reviewers will serve on the geotechnical Consultant Review Board established in the spring of 2001 to examine work products pertaining to the safety of Deer Creek Dam. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. All inquiries and concerns must be addressed in writing to Bureau of Reclamation, Betty J. Shearin, Contract Specialist, D-7810, Denver Federal Center, PO Box 25007, Denver. CO 80225. Responses to this notice must be submitted within ten (15) days after this electronic posting. A determination not to compete this requirement is within the discretion of the Government in future procurements. Telephone requests or inquiries will NOT be accepted. Any response to this notice MUST show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
