Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a Request for Quotation #2QR4-001-02. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-22. Set aside for small business -- NAICS: 443112 -- size standard $6.5 million. Line Item 1: Furnish 35 Satellite Telephones. Line Item 2: Activation Fee. GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS ARE AS FOLLOWS: MFG: Motorola, Model 9505 Satellite Telephone or Equal. Able to use existing iridium satellite system. Global Wireless capability. Fully Portable, Handheld size and weight. Compatible with local hardline phone service. No roaming charges. Consolidated/Centralized billing for charged calls. FOB Destination, 3833 S. Development Avenue, Boise, ID. 93705, Attn: Bill Burge. Delivery date: February 1, 2002. The following FAR clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items; 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Item; (paragraph (a) the evaluation criteria will be delivery date and price); 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Item; 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Item; 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Item.
