Description

Points of contact are: Contract specialist, Jerrie Reed at (256)876-8376, Contracting Officer, James R. Ganoe at (256)955-8114. Under Contract DAAH23-02-C-0083, an option will be exercised for year 2002 for the acquisition of Contract Field Service Repres entative to support the maintenance of the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior Helicopter. The nature of the contractual action will be firm-fixed-price (FFP) type. The Authority and Justification for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). FAR 6 .302-1, entitled only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Bell Helicopter Textron, Inc. (BHTI), is the only known source capable of providing the latest technical data and resolve technical problems i ncident to operation and maintenance of the aircraft as it is the only source that has access to all current data to include proprietary data. BHTI is the designer and sole manufacturer of the OH-58D aircraft. All responsible sources may submit a proposa l, which shall be considered by the Agency.
