Description

Design services to furnish complete construction documents (Plans & Specifications) and construction period services for Project 573-02-705, "Extend Security Lighting", to parking lot #5, at the VA Medical Center, Gainesville, FL 32608. The A/E firm selected for the design will be required to perform all necessary site survey work, such as verifying record drawings. Firms should have the capability of producing construction drawings on a computer-aided drafting and design (CADD) system and furnish VA with 3 1/2" diskettes containing such drawings at construction completion. CADD system shall be compatible with Autocad Release 14 software. Selection will be based upon recent specialized experience and technical competence in the type of work required, professional capacity to accomplish work, professional qualifications of staff and consultants assigned to project, past performance on contracts with Government agencies and private industry, in terms of cost control, quality of work, compliance with performance schedules, and other appropriate evaluation criteria. Estimated construction cost of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. Consideration is limited to emerging small business concerns located within a 150-mile radius of Gainesville, FL. An emerging small business concern for purposes of this solicitation is defined as a firm whose average annual receipts over the past three years do not exceed $2 million. Firms desiring consideration should submit SF 254's and SF 255's (See Note #24 in the Commerce Business Daily) by close of business 01/17/02. Award is subject to availability of funds.
