Description

The Naval Air Systems Command, 47123 Buse Road, Patuxent River MD 20670 1547 intends to negotiate and award a sole-source cost type contract with Sikorsky Aircraft Company, 6900 Main St., Stratford CT 06497 to accommodate MH-60S Armed Helicopter Mission provisions. Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation will be responsible for integration of MH-60S Armed Helicopter, to include structural and electrical provisioning, engineering investigations/studies, testing, and logistics support. Sikorsky is the only source with data, expertise and experience to perform this effort. This acquisition will be pursued under other than full and open competition, as Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation is the only source capable of providing the structural changes to the MH-60S aircraft currently under development. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Numbered Note 22 applies.
