Description

The US Geological Survey Requests Quotations for a COMMERCIAL ITEM (1) One previously owned 3 Axel Truck Tractor equipped with a minimum: conventional day cab & fifth wheel: 400 hp engine; jake-brake; variable speed governor for a PTO; heavy duty or double frame; length of frame shall be extended so that there is 75 inch to 80 inch open space between the cab and the fifth wheel for the ultimate installation of a crane; dual rear axles minimum capacity of 40,000 lbs; 4.11 or 3.90 ratio rear end; front axle minimum capacity of 12,000 lbs; cab with AC/heat; standard mirrors; air-ride seat; brakes shall be in excellent condition; engine well maintained and documented; all guages, lights, hoses, switches, shall operate and function correctly. Painted bright white. AND/OR (2) Two previously owned Flatbed Trailers equipped with: 2 axel minimum; weight should be under 10,000 pounds; length of forty to forty-two feet; air brakes in excellent condition; total electrical and air system in excellent condition. This procurement is a 100 percent small business set-aside. SIC Code is 3537; NAICS is 333924 with corresponding size standard of 750 employees. Offerors should indicate business size relative to the SIC Code. FOB Las Vegas, NV. Delivery by January 15, 2002. The Government contemplates a firm fixed-price contract and may award without discussion. Award will be made based on best overall value to the Government. Quotations will be evaluated on the following criteria: (a) conformance to minimum specifications (b) quality of equipment and components (c) past performance to provide similar equipment (d) availability of replacement parts (e) warranty (g) price. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Responses to this RFQ should reference RFQ02WRQQ0011. Quotations may be for all or either item.
