Description

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) has interest and is seeking sources capable of providing a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) X, Y Table. This is a Sources Sought announcement only. Solicitations are not available at this time, and as such any request for a solicitation will not receive a response. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The BEP is interested in procuring a CNC X, Y Table with the following specification: measurement accuracy to .001? (0.00314 mm), 1000 x 800 minimum stage travel, 150 mm minimum Z-axis stroke, minimum CNC 10X high-speed zoom, color video monitor, color camera, video edge detection through gray scale processing, user selectable edge detection, Windows 2000 ready, inspection results printout, 3D surface analysis, and fully automatic. At this point, the BEP does not intend on purchase any particular brand of CNC X, Y Table, but would like to review product literature and pricing as part of a market research to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government.
