Description

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) intends to enter into a sole source purchase order with GEAC Computers, Inc. (GEAC), for the purchase of continued technical maintenance support of its Advanced Integrated Library System to support the function of the NRC's Library. The proposed period of performance for this effort is one year. The NRC acquired a license for the GEAC Advanced System which includes MARC cataloging, On-line public access cataloging, GeoWeb Web-based OPAC (plus supporting Z39.50 software), Circulation, Acquisition, and Serials, which has been fully operational since 1997. It is housed on a SUN server located in the NRC's Headquarters in Rockville, Maryland. The proposed software is a proprietary product whereby GEAC does not license other software vendors to provide maintenance for its software products and therefore GEAC is the sole provider of maintenance for the product. The proposed item is a commercial item. Interested respondents must submit a written capability statement including technical information sufficient to demonstrate a bona fide capability to meet this requirement to the address shown above no later than 10 calendar days from date announcement appears in the Federal Business Opportunities.
