Description

Defense Information System Agency (DISA) is soliciting interested industry participants for review and comments on development of an interoperability specifications/standards for Assured Service in Voice over IP. The specifications/standards will enable mi ssion critical users to complete VOIP calls in times of network congestion. To help focus the efforts, DISA has generated a framework document and a draft requirement document on the subject. DISA expects that such specifications/standards be developed by relevant commercial standard organizations such as the Internet Engineering Task Force. This is not a procurement action. This is a solicitation for no-cost, voluntary participation in development of the standard. Industry organizations participating in this effort will do so at their own expense. This announcement does not obligate DISA/IN/IN31 or any other government organization to reimburse any participants' expenses. Please contact Mike Morgan for more information on the two documents.
