Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Central Office, Acquisition Operations Service intends to issue a request for proposal for interlata long distance services for pay telephones located at 175 Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Centers (VAMC) and bedside telephones at these VAMCs. Additional core services include collect 800 numbers branded and/or VA/Veterans Canteen Service (VCS) Veteran Brand Collect 800; Concessionaire Branded Prepaid Calling Cards; Concessionaire Branded and Co-Branded Promotional Prepaid Cards; Supplied Prepaid Calling Card Vending Machines; and VA/VCS Calling Card (Branded or Co-Branded). Optional services include, Wireless sales through VCS retail Store, and Internet Access Terminals. This procurement will utilize full and open competition that will evaluate offeror's technical proposals, discounts offered for calls, commissions offered on gross revenue, and past performance. The contract will provide for a base year and two (2) option years. The solicitation package will be available through the Internet at the Office of Acquisition and Materiel Management's Business Opportunity System. Interested vendors are requested to send an email to the Contracting Officer at Deborah.Martinez@med.va.gov to have your name included on a solicitation list that will be utilized by the Contracting Officer in the event the Business Opportunity System (BOS) is unavailable. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered. The proposal response date for this procurement is 2:00 PM, local time (Washington, DC), January 17, 2002.
