Description

NOTICE OF INTENT. USCS has a requirement for 5000 radiation detectors to meet a required expansion of its surveillance for nuclear material due to recent terrorist threats. USCS intends to procure the radiation detection units from Sensor Technology Engineering (STE), 5553 Hollister Avenue, #1, Santa Barbara, CA 93117. All of the radiation detection units currently in use by USCS are STE units. Therefore, configuration control, training and maintenance are also important factors in USCS determination to purchase the units from STE. The procurement shall be processed under the authority of 10 USC(c)(2), unusual and compelling urgency. This notice of intent is NOT a solicitation for competitive proposals. No telephone inquiries. See numbered Note 22.
