Description

This notice serves as Notice of Intention to issue a Prospectus for Operation of Guided Livery Service within Rocky Mountain National Park. The National Park Service will be releasing a concession Prospectus authorizing the continued operation of guided livery service consisting of horseback rides originating from assigned government facilities within Rocky Mountain National Park. This operation is seasonal in nature with the season beginning in mid-May and ending in mid-October. The annual gross receipts over the past 5 years averaged $396,615. The current Concession Contract expires December 31, 2001. The current operator has right of preference in renewal. SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The Prospectus will be issued January 7, 2002, for a 60 day response period. Offers for this Prospectus must be received by close of business (no later than 4 p.m.) on March 7, 2002, in the Business Resources Division (IMR-CM), National Park Service, Intermountain Region, P.O. Box 25287, Denver, CO 80225-0287 (Federal Express address: 12795 W. Alameda Parkway, Lakewood, CO 80228. There will be a printing cost recovery charge of $35 per copy to be delivered via Federal Express or $30 per copy to be picked up in person. Checks or money orders must be payable to The National Park Service. (Cash cannot be accepted).
