The NETA requirements in the specifications and drawings have changed to testing requirements (See Amendment 0001). Eglin AFB FL has a requirement for Install Isolation Switch Climatic Lab, Building 400, Eglin AFB FL. This project includes furnishing all plant, labor, and materials for Install Isolation Switch Climatic Lab, Building 400. In general the work consist of removing and providing new portions of chain link fence, installing gang operated air-break switch inside main base substation below existing 115kV aerial feeder serving existing climatic hanger building 440. Work also shall consist of switch support structure with concrete foundations, hand operated switch operator, adding to, and reworking grid ground system, grounded iron platform plate, installing new aerial conductors, insulators, etc., for change to new switch and other associated work. Period of performance is 90 calendar days. NOTICE TO OFFERORS: Funds are not presently available for this project. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the proposal due date with no obligation to the offeror by the Government. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. Firms responding should indicate if they are a small business. The above general description of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all plant, labor, equipment, and materials complete in accordance with the specifications. The proposal closing date is 23 September 1999. Estimated dollar range is between $100,000 and $250,000.
