The Air Armament Center, Eglin AFB, FL, intends to solicit and award a sole source firm-fixed price contract for five (5) high shock recorders and three (3) memory upgrades to IES, Inc. of Mary Esther, FL. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a quotation is being requested and a written request for quotation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this announcement is F08651-00-T-0156. This requirement is for 1 ea. shock recorder, power 5 volts, memory 512K bytes, low pass filter 100KHz, sample rate/channel 1 MHz, pre-trigger 9K bytes, supply voltage for sensor 5 volts; 2ea. shock recorders, power 5 volts, memory 512K bytes, low pass filter 100KHz, sample rate/channel 1 MHz, pre-trigger 400,354 bytes, supply voltage for sensor 5 volts; 2 ea. shock recorders, power 5 volts, memory 512K bytes, low pass filter 100KHz, sample rate/channel 1 MHz, pre-trigger 7139 bytes, supply voltage for sensor 5 volts; 3 ea. memory upgrades, 512K; and 2 ea. memory upgrades, 128K. Items are required to support the Air Force Research Laboratory which will utilize the shock recorders to acquire transducer data in shock environments of up to 100,000 G's. In addition, the shock recorders must be able to be configured for a variety of transducer inputs to accommodate numerous test requirements. Low power consumption is needed to allow instrumentation build-up weeks in advance of the test and extend the life of the recorder for data retrieval after the test. Data retrieval will be accomplished using a personal computer. Software must be supplied with the recorder to enable storage, display, and printing of the data. Items must be delivered to AFRL/MNO/LMCA, 101 W. Eglin Blvd., Suite 150, Eglin AFB, FL 32542, no later than 30 days after receipt of order on an FOB Destination basis.
