Description

Description: Eglin AFB FL has a requirement to Upgrade Taxiway and Threshold Lights on Eglin's Runways, Eglin AFB FL. The work will consist of Replacing Threshold Lights, Pre-threshold Terminating Bar and Taxiway Lights. The successful contractor will also be required to Install New Voltage Regulators and Install Underground Conduits, Wiring etc. This project shall be submitted with the cost of the Threshold Lights, Regulators and associated work as Option #1, and the Taxiway Lights, TACAN Signs, Pavement Markings, and associated work as Option #2. These items will be detailed in the Drawings when they are issued. Prospective contractors are expected to attend the official site visit, which will be scheduled in Section L of the Solicitation. "THIS IS A TRADE OFF" (PERFORMANCE PRICE TRADE-OFF) ACQUISITION. Award will be made based upon "Best Value" to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.101. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest proposed price. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the Agency. The above general description of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all plant, labor, equipment, and materials complete in accordance with the plans and specifications. The Proposal due date of 15 Jul 01 IS AN ESTIMATED DATE. The estimated dollar range is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The bid acceptance period is 60 calendar days. Performance period is 180 calendar days. No response to this notice is necessary and no source list shall be maintained. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED, BUT THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT'S ELECTRONIC POSTING SYSTEM (www.eps.gov.). See Note 26. All hand carried proposals may be taken to Building 350, Room 541, Eglin AFB, FL.
