Description

This project is for repair of brick veneer on Army barracks Building 4420, Fort Jackson, SC. Included in the work is demolition, masonry and other construction, in accordance with plans and specifications (demolish brick veneer as noted on the drawings; remove all existing appurtenances connecting brick veneer to its backing; construct and install standard, braced four feet by four feet square replacement brick panels; install flashing, retrofitted flashing, etc.; clean new veneer). Work is to be accomplished in phases of the building company areas. Period of performance is 273 days. NAICS code is 235410. Magnitude of project is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000 and is SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS. This acquisition is being solicited under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program under full and open competition UNLESS sufficient response is received from HubZone firms to make it HubZone set-aside. Interested HubZone firms MUST certify in writing to the above office within 7 days of the posting of this notice, of definite intention to submit a bid. This may be sent by fax to 803-751-5429. Bid date will be determined but is anticipated to be early August. A pre-bid site inspection will be conducted, date to be determined. Drawings, however, will have to be mailed separately from this Contracting office. Requests will be accepted in writing only, and MUST include company name, point of contact, street AND mailing addresses, phone and fax numbers, business size (LB, SB, WO, SDB, 8a, DAV, HZ, etc), TAX ID number, CAGE Code, DUNS number, and solicitation number. Also indicate if registered in CCR, which is a requirement to be eligible for award (www.ccr2000.com). There will be a one-time, non-refundable charge of $15.00 for printed drawings. Checks/money orders should be made payable to the US Treasurer. If there is a preference for digitized drawings (on CD-ROM), please indicate such in your written request. There is a small possibility that this method will be available.
