Description

Building Upgrade. This requirement is for the procurement of a construction firm to provide all supervision, labor, materials and equipment necessary for the Building Upgrade of the James C. Cleveland Federal Building, Concord, NH. The facility is a five story building, with one basement level, approximately 11,679 gross square meters . The work includes but is not limited to demolition of existing systems, removal of asbestos containing materials, replacement/restoration/supplementation of HVAC systems, addition of an energy management system, renovation of toilet rooms, additional of a sprinkler system, replacement of the fire alarm system, modernization of power and lighting systems, elevator modernization, meeting current accessibility standards, seismic reinforcement of specific building elements, and new finishes and space realignment for a variety of Federal agencies. The project will be phased to accommodate a partial occupancy by the government during construction, with disruptive work being performed after normal business hours. The project is designed in metric units, and the estimated cost range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. This project includes options, which will be evaluated as part of the award. The contract performance period is 540 calendar days after receipt of Notice to proceed. This procurement is open to competition among both large and small business concerns pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The NAICS Code is 233320 (SIC Code 1542), Size standard is $27.5 Mil. Specifications will ONLY be made available through the Electronic Posting System (EPS) website: www.eps.gov. Drawings will ONLY be made available for purchase for an estimated fee of $64.80 plus mailing cost at a local printing company. The information to request drawings will be made available on the EPS website when the solicitation is issued. The issue date is estimated to be 07/12/01 with an estimated closing date of 08/15/01. It is the bidders responsibility to monitor the EPS website (www.eps.gov) for the release of the solicitation documents and any amendments (if any), and downloading these documents.
