- Description
- The Air Armament Center, Eglin AFB, FL, intends to solicit and award a firm-fixed price contract for supplies. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a quotation is being requested and a separate written request for quotation will not be issue. The solicitation number for this announcement is F08651-01-T-0065. This requirement is for 1 (One) Intercom System, Echo: Central Control PN: ECHO-16 or equal 1 (one) Conference Call Card, PN ECHO-CC or equal, master Station C/W handset, PN E-MDS or equal, 12 (twelve) Microphone Station, PN E1-SM or equal, 12 (twelve) Audible Signal Explosion proof PN: T-300X-120 or equal, 12 (twelve) loudspeaker kit, PN: T-300CK or equal, and one installation field tech. The above requirements are to be used for the following the digital intercom system is needed for communications during explosive operations at High Explosive Research and Development (HERD) facility, part of the Air Force Research Laboratory, Munitions Directorate, Ordance Division, Energetic Materials Branch. The intercom system must include at least 14 stations (at least 12 stations must meet requirements defined for hazardous environments as detailed within N.E.C., Article 500, specifically Class I, Division I environment). The intercom system will be comprised of the 14 stations (including microphone, loudspeaker, and control panel) and the master hub, be capable of having stations distributed between buildings separated by distance up to several thousand of feet each, and have the ability to talk from any station to any other station. Any station must be capable of sending an ?ALL CALL? order, as might be required for an emergency, to all other stations. Each station of the system must be capable of monitoring/listening to any other station without personnel present at remote station. The loudspeaker of each station does not have to meet the hazardous environment criteria. Intercom system must be capable of interfacing to a phone system and hand handle-radio (such as Motorola XTS 3000), though components need not be provided. Cable connecting stations will be procured separately. Government personnel will install system. A designated representative of the vendor should provide commissioning of the intercom system. Ideally, this system would be capable of adding additional systems, carry voice and data over the same cable, and each station be electrically isolated from one another as each station may be at a unique ground plane voltage due to separation distances between stations. This is a total set aside for small business, the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this acquisition is 334290; 750 personnel. Supplies will be delivered to Eglin AFB on an FOB Destination basis. Delivery date after award is 30 days.
