Description

NOTE: THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. THIS SYNOPSIS IS A MARKET SURVEY/SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to establish a technically qualified source list of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) biometrics products to control exterior physical door access. Specifically, items sought should be able to function in variable weather conditions such as changes in ambient light, temperature and moisture. Items sought should be mature products, turnkey systems with no modifications or development required. This announcement does not commit the Government to any procurement or preparation costs incurred by the provider. Interested sources should provide data in accordance with this Product Profile Template: 1) Vendor Name; (2) Product Name; (3) Brief Functional Description; (4) Biometrics Modalities Supported (examples: fingerprint, iris, face, etc.); (5) Standards Conformance: (a) BioAPI specification (www.biometrics.org), (b) Common Biometrics Exchange File Format (CBEFF) National Institute of Standards and Technology Inter-agency Reports (NISTIR) 6529 c, (c) Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, (d) National Information Assurance Acquisition Policy (NTSISSC 11), (e) FIPS 140 1-2 compliance; (6) Performance Test Results: (a) In-house performance test results and procedures, (b) Independent performance test results and procedures; (7) Product Public Information trade journal bibliography; (8) Past Performance -- Provide points of contact (e-mail addresses and commercial telephone numbers) for companies you have sold this product to; (9) Additional Information/Comments as deemed necessary. Respondents are welcome to provide information in the form of product brochures, press releases, technical specification sheets, reprints of trade journal articles, etc. All submissions may be submitted as hardcopy, electronic, or both according to the following instructions.
