Description

SOLICITATION OF INTEREST FOR IN-SERVICE TRAINING/PARTNERING The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is seeking professional training services to perform facilitation of partnering sessions between MDOT and the contractor(s). This training is to be provided during the next two to three years. No prequalification is required to provide this service. Consultants should have previous training experience in facilitation of partnering sessions which includes: 1) extensive experience in facilitating meetings and partnering sessions, 2) full knowledge and experience in team building activities construction-related field projects, 3) thorough understanding of issues and goal discussed in a partnering related session (e.g., progress schedules, progress meetings, utility coordination, contractor claims, levels of authority), and 4) experience in "breaking the ice" and establishing a good rapport between the contractor and client. Sessions include meeting preparation (10 to 30 participants per session), organization of meeting materials, travel to and from the meeting sites, and preparation and distribution of meeting minutes. Consultants having the above experience are invited to submit three copies of a letter according to the Guideline for Submittal of Letters of Interest (www.mdot.state.mi.us/bbs/consteng library). The letter must describe the firm?s training and partnering experience and list some specific projects. Selection of one or more consultants will be based on the Letters of Interest.
